Things get spicy with second-annual chili cook-off

The Bartlett High School 2018 Open House Chili Cook-Off was a spectacular success. From one incredibly long line to flattering reviews, the cook-off was a big hit. Contestants had varying reasons for competing in the event: from doing it for the competition to doing it to be part of the community. Principal Sean Prince said he participated to lead by example.

“How can you expect others to do something you won’t?” Prince said.

After being asked what goes into their chili, other than the main ingredients, chefs’ answers varied from how you care for the meat to adding sugar to time and love.

Congratulations to second-time champion First Sergeant Hugh Harmon for his winning chili recipe.
