Partner’s Club, a program that meets during lunch, is where regular education students partner with special education students, called peers. Together, they do competitive activities including: bowling, basketball, skiing, track and field.

“We’re their friends and their our friends,” stated President Kara Predmore.

Currently, the club has more peers than partners, with only five partners. After her mom, who ran Partner’s Club at East Anchorage High School, convinced her to get involved, Partner’s Club really grew on Predmore.

“These kids are the nicest kids you’ll ever meet in your entire life,” she said, reflecting on her experiences in the past year.

According to Predmore, one of the greatest things about Partner’s Club is watching her peers grow.

“The best part is seeing them experience something they haven’t been able to do before,” she said.

You, too, can share great experiences with these amazing young adults. In fact, joining Partner’s Club is as easy as showing up Wednesdays in Room 135, and signing in.
