New Year's resolutions have been around for a long time. The first known resolution was when the Babylonians made promises to their gods at the start of each year that they would return borrowed objects and pay their debts. The Romans began each year by making promises to the god Janus for whom the month of January is named.
A New Year's resolution is a tradition, most common in the Western Hemisphere in which a person resolves to change a behavior, accomplish a personal goal, or to improve their lifestyle. Did you know that the most common resolution made is to increase the amount of exercise that one gets? Most resolutions never make it past the first month of the new year, but the ones that do are really something to be proud of.
I believe that personal goals should be set year round. Why wait to begin making a better version of you?!
